A new student drop off and pick-up process will go into effect on Monday, January 6, when students return from Winter Break. Parents/guardians who drive their student to and from school will not be permitted to park or wait on First Street or along Maple Avenue (near this intersection). The Trenton Police Department may ticket drivers who park or wait along these streets.
To explain the new drop off and pick-up process, the attached letter was sent home with every Babeck student on December 19: https://5il.co/bzpy
Parents/guardians will need to wait on Marcia Drive, until they can pull out onto Maple Avenue and enter the circle drive at Babeck. Students can then be dropped off and picked-up in the same place as they are today.
For drivers waiting on Marcia Drive to drop off or pick-up your student, please be courteous to the residents who live on this street. Please do not block any driveways or intersections. We will be notifying the residents on Marcia Drive about this change so they are aware of why cars are waiting on their street before school as well as at dismissal time.
To make this new process work even better, we ask that you:
DO NOT ARRIVE ANY EARLIER THAN 8:00 a.m. TO DROP OFF YOUR STUDENT
DO NOT ARRIVE ANY EARLIER THAN 2:45 p.m. TO PICK-UP YOUR STUDENT
Your willingness to respect these drop off and pick-up times will reduce the time you spend waiting!
Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this new process. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our students as they arrive and leave school.
