Edgewood High School
Freshman Day
We will welcome all ninth-graders to our Freshman Day on Thursday, August 6th from 4:00-6:00 PM. Freshmen will have a tour of the building, pick up their schedules, and learn more about the high school.
9-12 Open House
Open House for grades 9-12 is scheduled for all grades and their families on Thursday, August 13th from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. Students will receive their schedule, meet their teachers, and learn about extracurricular activities at EHS.

Additional Building Specific Information

We are excited to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! This letter contains important information, key dates, logistics, and policy updates to help your family prepare for a smooth and successful start.
Updated Daily Schedule & Morning Expectations
Please note that Edgewood High School has updated its daily schedule for the upcoming school year:
- Student School Hours: 7:30 AM – 2:20 PM
- Building Access: Doors open for students at 7:00 AM. Students arriving between 7:00 AM and 7:25 AM should report directly to the cafeteria or main hallway. Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria starting at 7:00 AM.
- Morning Bell: The warning bell rings at 7:25 AM, and 1st period begins promptly at 7:30 AM.
- Dismissal Expectation: All students must exit the building by 2:25 PM unless they are under the direct supervision of a coach, advisor, or teacher for an after-school activity.
- Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Bus Routes: Student drop-off and pick-up will remain at the main entrance and event entrances. For bus routes and pickup times, please check the District Transportation page on our website prior to the start of school.
Key Back-to-School Dates
- Freshman Orientation (Grade 9): Thursday, August 6th | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
We welcome all incoming 9th graders! Students will tour the building, pick up their schedules, and learn essential tips for navigating high school. Please drop off your student at the Event Entrance - EHS Open House (Grades 9–12): Thursday, August 13th | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
All students and families are invited to receive course schedules, meet teachers, and learn about EHS extracurricular activities and clubs. - First Day of School: Tuesday, August 18th
(Note: Individual course supply lists will be shared by teachers during the first week of school; students only need a notebook and pen on Day 1).
Student Class Schedules & Counselor Assignments
Our administrative and counseling teams work hard to design schedules that fulfill graduation requirements and college admission standards while honoring student course requests.
Schedule Policy: To maintain a balanced master schedule, no unnecessary schedule changes will be permitted for the 2026–2027 school year. The only allowable schedule adjustments at the start of a semester are those caused by schedule conflicts, CCP course additions, failed courses, or system errors.
If you notice a conflict on your schedule, please contact your assigned counselor by Friday, August 21st so we can resolve the issue:

Cafeteria Meal Prices
- Student Breakfast: $2.00
- Student Lunch: $3.50
Parking Pass Registration
Students may pick up their physical parking pass at the Main Office during Open House on Thursday, August 13th (4:00 PM – 7:00 PM), or anytime during the school year once all requirements are met.
To obtain a parking pass, complete the following steps in order:
- Pay Outstanding Fees: Pay all past-due school fines and fees via PaySchools Central.
- Complete FinalForms: Log into FinalForms as a parent/guardian and complete all required registration forms (tabs will turn green when complete).
- Upload Driver’s License: Attach a photocopy of the student’s valid driver’s license.
- Upload Insurance: Attach a copy of the current, unexpired auto insurance card covering the vehicle(s) listed.
- Sign Parking Application: Parent/guardian and student must both sign online in FinalForms.
- Sign Random Drug Testing (RDT) Form: Parent/guardian and student must both sign online in FinalForms.
- Student Signature: The student must log into their own FinalForms account to sign all required documents.
- Pay Parking Fee:
- Full Year ($30.00): Paid directly through FinalForms.
- Second Semester Only ($15.00): Paid in person at the Main Office. (Note: Second-semester passes cannot be issued, nor can students park on campus, prior to January 5, 2027).
Important Policy & Logistics Updates for 2026–2027
- Cell Phone & Personal Device Policy:
In compliance with state law and to align with Edgewood Middle School, students must put away all cell phones, AirPods, and other personal electronics upon entering the building. Devices must remain turned off and out of sight in backpacks throughout the entire school day (including passing periods and lunch).- 1st Offense: Detention (DT)
- 2nd Offense: Detention (DT) & parent/guardian must pick up the device from school.
- 3rd Offense: Friday School & parent/guardian must pick up the device from school.
(Note: If you need to deliver an urgent message to your child during the school day, please call the Main Office directly.)
- SmartPass Digital Hall Pass:
EHS is transitioning to SmartPass, a digital hall pass system. Classroom kiosk systems will be used for students requesting bathroom, office, or hallway passes to maximize instructional time and safety.
