35 of our EMS 8th graders attended the OKI Career Construction Day at the Butler County Fairgrounds on September 18. It was an amazing opportunity for our students to experience various jobs in the construction field. They poured concrete, made a brick wall, made plaster molds, hung drywall, hammered a nail (some for the very first time), and had the chance to see heavy equipment. It was a great time for learning about apprenticeship opportunities that they may choose for their future career path.
