Our EHS Varsity Football team will be trading out their navy game jerseys to wear camouflage on Friday, October 4 as a show of support to the men & women serving in our armed forces. The Ohio Army National Guard is loaning the jerseys to the Cougars, with 2019 being the inaugural year for the “National Guard Game of the Week” program. The EHS Football program has a rich history of alumni, along with community members, serving in the military. We want to show our appreciation to these brave men and women with a Military Appreciation Night. All active & retired military personnel, who present their military I.D. at the gate on Friday night, will receive free admission to the football game. We want to show our appreciation for the service & dedication these brave men and women give to our great nation. Edgewood plays Ross Local Schools. Kickoff is at 7 pm.

All of our schools will be conducting safety drills from September 25- October 4. These drills have been scheduled to ensure students and staff members are prepared in the event of an active and aggressive emergency situation. Our drills will be conducted in partnership with the Butler County Sheriff Office and the Trenton Police Department.
It is important you know these drills are planned. This precaution is being taken so that anyone who overhears any conversation, receives text messages or emails about a drill would not mistake it as a real world emergency. Once a drill starts, any communications will begin and end with "This is a drill" so all participants know the communication is related to the planned drill. In the event a real world emergency would occur during a drill, the phrase "Real World Emergency" will be issued over our communication systems.

Did you know today is Constitution Day? It was formed and signed at the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787. More than a year after George Washington became president, Congress issued the responsibility to conduct the 1790 Census to count every person living in the U.S. under the requirements of Article 1. Join your fellow Americans in 2020 in exercising your Constitutional right by participating in the #2020Census #constitution day #census

Tying something abstract (Algebra) to something familiar (movie characters) is a great way to keep students engaged while dramatically improving their retention of the information. That's what Mrs. Brown did today during "Frozen Day" in @EMSCougars Math Class. It was brilliant!
