Cincinnati, OH - September 21, 2024 - The Edgewood High School Air Force JROTC color guard team proudly presented the colors at the Cincinnati Reds v Pittsburgh Pirates game at Great American Ballpark. The cadets showcased the American Flag, Ohio Flag, Air Force Flag, and the Edgewood High School flag during the opening ceremony.
The team’s precision and professionalism were on full display during the color guard. The 25,000+ people in attendance at the game showed their appreciation for the team’s efforts by giving the color guard a welcome round of applause after the presentation of the colors. This experience not only highlights the benefits that students can reap from being disciplined and dedicated in their preparation and training, the experience reinforced the values of leadership, citizenship, and community service that are taught each day in the Air Force JROTC program.
Edgewood High School encourages all students to join the JROTC program so they can cultivate valuable citizenship and life skills, in addition to developing lifelong friendships during fun activities like color guard.
