Edgewood High School Student Council is proud to have Mr. John Thomas as this year’s Grand Marshal!
John Thomas is a 1975 Graduate of Edgewood High School. He attended Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee, graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. His wife, Jenny Thomas, was the school nurse at Edgewood High School for many years. John’s children also graduated from Edgewood High School - Brittany in 2004 and Nate in 2008.
In addition to being a graduate and parent in the Edgewood school district, John Thomas worked for Edgewood City Schools in many different capacities. Over his 30 year career here, he was Athletic Director, head Men’s Basketball coach, and the Business Manager for the district.
John believes that Edgewood is a very special place; he enjoyed his time here as both a student and employee. He is honored to be this year’s Grand Marshal.
